Mentoring Central connects students and faculty to mentoring resources, training, on campus mentoring programs, and workshops. Check out some of the benefits of mentoring below:

ODU F1RST Faculty Mentors

The main goal of the 'F1RST Faculty' opportunity is to encourage faculty-student interaction outside of the classroom through relationships that help to improve sense of belonging for both first-gen faculty and first-gen students.

M-Power Mentors

The M-Power Peer Education Network serves the student body at ODU as an educational resource on the issues of interpersonal violence to include sexual assault, domestic violence, dating violence, and stalking. As members of the Women's Center's SAFE team, peer educators engage their fellow students in programs and discussions that promote gender equality and a safe, supportive learning environment for all students. Through its presence and programs on the ODU campus, M-Power creates spaces for education, awareness, and positive social change.

LGBT Mentoring

Through the LGBT Mentoring Program, incoming LGBT-identified students are able to feel safe and part of a larger community upon arriving at ODU. This mentoring program allows new LGBT monarchs to work alongside upperclassman that identify as LGBT and allies. Mentee and Mentors work together throughout the school year, engaging in the various on and off campus, visiting the LGBT resources on campus, and provide emotional support for one another. In addtion to the mentoring program, LGBT Initiatives and the Safe Space committee of ODU provide and informal, community discussion known as the Brown Bag Series.

Global Monarch Mentors

The Global Monarch Club (GMC) connects globally and engages locally to create an inclusive community and promote diversity & intercultural understanding within the ODU community through a Global Mentorship mentorship program.

Monarch 2 Monarch

Monarch 2 Monarch is a service based mentorship program that provides incoming students with an upperclassman mentor to help guide students and vastly enhance their Monarch Experience.
